Canaca sucks!

My organizations hosted a database at Canaca. They seemed not to understand the application of our Thawte security certificate and every visitor was shown an alert box. Our site also went down frequently. Canaca's site tells you that all support is through their website form. There is a "24-hour" tech support phone number but their policy states that they can suspend your account if you call and it's not an emergency. Now they do acknowledge that a "down site" is an emergency but if you call the number outside their normal business hours, you are greeted with a phone tree that places you in a "queue" for about 16 mins before you are disconnected. In over a year and a half, when I've tried to call, I have never received an answer! I've had to use their ticket system and it's always the next morning that the problem gets resolved. And if things quit working on Saturday eve, it will probably not be fixed until Monday morn. I think their customer service sucks!

For this reason, I think that Canaca sucks and will discourage everyone from using thier disservices!
RegisterFly sucks!

For several years, RegisterFly debited my account as "RegisterFly" then they chose to do so under another name which I didn't recognize. I challanged the charge with my bank because I didn't recognize the company debiting my account. RegisterFly didn't contest the challange, they just suspended my account until I pay them a $100.00 "chargeback fee", a $25.00 "reconnect fee" and the original $18.00 bucks that was debited from my account. After years of doing business with them, I would just like to move my domain registration to another registrar. I am willing to pay the $18.00 but feel that the other charges are wrong. I think that they are using this type of under-handed business practice to create another revenue stream. If I don't pay their ransom, I was told that my registered domain name can be tied up for two yars after the expiration date. If they'll screw me. they'll screw others!

2MHost sucks!

I was a reseller for 2MHost. Often my clients complained that their sites were down and I got very poor service from 2MHost. I believe that their helpdesk was outsourced and the folks that manned the lines had very limited ability to resolve the problems that I had. Many times, problems had to wait until the following day to be resolved which usually led my clients to assume that *I* offered poor customer support. In my opinion, 2MHost's customer service sucks!

For this reason, I think that 2MHost sucks and will discourage everyone from using thier disservices!
